Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Fort Lauderdale Team Behind DryMark Restoration Fort Lauderdale
Our Fort Lauderdale crew shows up with name tags, moisture meters, and the drying logs your adjuster actually needs. We’re the team that answers at 2 a.m. when a pipe lets go in a Victoria Park bungalow or a condo stack in Flagler Village starts weeping through the ceiling. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that every one of us has been on the other end of a job where documentation failed and a homeowner ate the cost. We don’t do that here.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration Fort Lauderdale in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster, and I built it around the exact gap that denied homeowners coverage: missing documentation. I’d see beautiful restoration work get rejected because the crew never logged psychrometric data, never photographed the pre-loss condition, never produced a drying chart an adjuster could read. So I wrote The Haven Standard, and Clause 1 is non-negotiable: written price before work starts, every time, no exceptions. I still review every scope that goes out, and I still take calls at midnight when a project manager needs a second set of eyes on moisture readings from a flooded triplex off Las Olas. The dry aside? I’ve seen a dehumidifier placed in a closet with no airflow, running for three days, billed as “tertiary drying.” The data showed 87% relative humidity and zero grain depression. We don’t do that either.
Marcus T., Lead Water Technician
Marcus has been pulling water out of Fort Lauderdale buildings since 2014, and he’s certified in Applied Structural Drying through IICRC with additional training on Injectidry cavity drying systems. He specializes in high-rise water losses, the kind where a failed HVAC riser on the 14th floor of a Galt Ocean Mile condo sends water through four units before anyone finds the shutoff. Marcus carries a FLIR thermal imager on every job and won’t sign off until he’s mapped the full migration pattern, including the wall cavities that don’t feel wet to the touch but read 18% moisture content on the pin meter. Off the truck, he rebuilds vintage motorcycles and brings the same tolerance for zero-tolerance measurements to both.
Darlene K., Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Darlene runs our containment builds and negative air setups, and she’s the technician we send when a mold job has already been botched once. She’s RIA-certified in microbial remediation and trained on Phoenix 200MAX dehumidification systems, but her real specialty is reading a structure like a story: the water stain that follows a roof valley, the condensation pattern that points to a missing vapor barrier in a Rio Vista crawl space. Darlene grew up in a family of Fort Lauderdale marine contractors, so she’s unusually good at the salt-air complications that accelerate mold in coastal zip codes. She keeps a jar of sea glass on her dash, every piece from a different job site.
Javier R., Service Coordinator
Javier answers the phones that ring at 3:17 a.m., and he’s the one who keeps a live person on every call, no voicemail trees, no “leave a message and we’ll call back tomorrow while your subfloor delaminates.” He’s been with DryMark Restoration Fort Lauderdale since 2019 and knows every adjuster at the major carriers who writes Fort Lauderdale policies, which means he can start the documentation chain before the first truck rolls. Javier coordinates photo documentation, schedules the moisture-log uploads, and makes sure every customer gets their written scope and signed Haven Standard warranty within 24 hours of job completion. He was born in Hialeah, speaks Spanish with the customers who need it, and has a spreadsheet that tracks every 365-Day Done Right Promise claim we’ve ever honored. The number is low. He’s proud of that.
Tomasz W., Restoration Apprentice
Tomasz joined us in 2023 after three years in commercial flooring, and he’s working through his IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician certification while learning to operate our Dri-Eaz and XPOWER drying fleets in the field. We paired him with Marcus for his first six months, and he’s already the technician we trust to set up the initial extraction and begin the documentation photo record while the lead scopes the full loss. Tomasz has a good eye for material classification, he knows the difference between Category 2 and Category 3 water by sight and smell, and he’s unusually careful about noting pre-existing damage before any equipment touches the space. He moved to Fort Lauderdale from Chicago specifically for the restoration work, which we still don’t fully understand, but his drying logs are clean and his grain depression calculations check out.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard travels with us, not the other way around. Whether we’re extracting sewage from a commercial kitchen on Federal Highway or running vapor pressure differential calculations for a whole-home dry-out in Coral Ridge, the same clauses apply. Clause 1: written price before work begins. Clause 2: documented photo record on every visit. Clause 3: 365-Day Done Right Promise, signed, not spoken. Our Fort Lauderdale crew is independently owned and operated under these terms, and we answer to them before we answer to any network. The equipment changes by job, the neighborhoods change by call, but the standard doesn’t drift. That’s the point.
